Higuain, Jorginho give Chelsea vital Fulham win

Goals from Gonzalo Higuain and Jorginho gave Chelsea a vital 2-1 win away at Fulham to keep their top four hopes alive.

Coming into the match off the back of a 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur in mid-week a win was critical for Chelsea to keep momentum in their quest for the top four.

January signing Higuain gave Chelsea the perfect start when he fired home from Cesar Azpilicueta’s cross, but the home side were level moments later when Calum Chambers drifted to the back post and volleyed in from a corner.

However, interim manager Scott Parker’s joy was short-lived as Jorginho nonchalantly curled home from the edge of the area to give Chelsea the lead, his first league goal since the opening day of the season.
